European Union's project EU4Business alleviates negative effect of COVID-19 on agri-food sector in BiH: PUBLIC CALL WORTH BAM 1.8 MILLION LAUNCHED: APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENDED TO 8 JUNE 2020

European Union's project EU4Business launched public call for potential grant beneficiaries in order to alleviate negative effects of COVID-19 unto the agri-food sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This public call, valued at BAM 1.8 million, is open to micro, small and medium enterprises, entrepreneurs and/or cooperatives with established network of cooperants/individual agricultural producers engaged in:

·         production and/or purchase and/or storing and/or distribution of fresh and finalized agri-food products; or

·         production and/or purchase and processing, storing and distributing of agri-food products.

Through this public call, EU4Business project aims to contribute to alleviating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemics by supporting reduction and optimization of operational costs, maintenance of productivity, liquidity and competitiveness in agri-food sector in BiH; stabilization of existing value chains and promoting sustainable development practices including better governance of natural resources and protection of environment and people.

All interested enterprises, cooperatives and entrepreneurs can access public call through web pages of EU4Business www.eu4business.ba and UNDP-a www.ba.undp.org under section Public Calls. In order to make process efficient and better support workers in primary agricultural production, application procedure has been made simpler and shortened significantly.

 

Application deadline is 8 June 2020. until 15.00.

EU4Business is European Union’s project that aims to strengthen Bosnia and Herzegovina’s capacity for economic growth and employment by fostering competitiveness and innovation in selected sectors. EU4Business is worth EUR 16.1 million, EUR 15 million is funded by the European Union and EUR 1.1 million by the Federal Republic of Germany. Project is jointly implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and International Labor Organisation (ILO), in the period from April 2018 until March 2022. EU4Business is part of the Local Development Strategies – Local Self-Government and Economic Development Programme in Bosnia and Herzegovina by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
