Within the project "Local Integrated Development" (LID), which is primarily funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina (UNDP BiH), public works projects from 5 local self-governance units (LSUs) have been selected for financing.
The above-mentioned projects will be implemented in Vareš, Žepče, Orašje, Maglaj and Foča with the foreseen short-term employment of 160 vulnerable and socially excluded persons during 2018. The cumulative value of the projects amounts to 373.000 BAM, where the EU contributes with 250.000 BAM and the selected LSUs with 123.000 BAM.
The evaluation process was steered by the UNDP’s Evaluation Committee. The Committee conducted evaluation and scoring of all received project proposals in accordance with the list of basic, administrative and additional criteria set forth in the Public call. The final ranking list is as follows:

The Local Integrated Development Project is a three-year initiative (2016-2018) primarily financed by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme in Bosnia and Herzegovina (UNDP in BiH), in cooperation with the State Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees, Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts of the Federation of BiH, Ministry of Administration and Local Self-Government of RS and two Associations of Cities and Municipalities.
The overall objective of the Project is to raise the standards of living and social cohesion in Bosnia and Herzegovina through inclusive sustainable socio-economic development. Within the component for economic recovery, LID project will directly support the private sector and potential investors in order to increase an overall economic activity in local communities, ensure economic growth through productive value chains and to create new jobs and income. The project also provides assistance to the long-term unemployed and socially excluded categories of the population, especially returnees, internally displaced persons and long-term unemployed persons. The project is being implemented in 21 LSUs in BiH.
