The first "Global Crowdfunding Academy in BiH" begins!

Oct 18, 2017

Crowdfunding is becoming increasingly important for financing innovative ideas and projects in the world, thanks to which more than $ 36 billion has been collected over the past five years. Guided by the idea of crowdfunding as an opportunity for financing innovative projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in cooperation with Terra Hub Croatia and AltFinLab is organizing the first "Global Crowdfunding Academy in BiH". The Global Crowdfunding Academy BiH will be organised within the scope of the "Local Integrated Development" project (LID), which is primarily funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by UNDP in BiH.

UNDP invites all innovative and creative teams to submit applications for participation in the "Global Crowdfunding Academy in BiH".

The selected 12-15 teams with the best project ideas will receive free mentorship and support from crowdfunding experts and mentors who have worked and participated in some of the most successful crowdfunding campaigns in Croatia and the region, in order to develop their projects and prepare for launching their own crowdfunding campaigns. Crowdfunding experts from the Global Crowdfunding Academy have so far educated over 60 teams from Croatia and the region, of whom 20 teams successfully completed the crowdfunding campaign and collected more than $ 500,000.
