Summary

Stemming from broader framework of the UN Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF) for Bosnia and Herzegovina 2015-2019, the Country Programme Document defines UNDP priority work areas and flags expected potential outcomes that will be subsequently elaborated in the bi-annual joint UN work plans.

During the period 2015 - 2019, UNDP will support authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the following areas:

• access to justice and increased human security;

• reduction of regional, economic and social disparities;

• sustainable management of environmental and energy resources, and green jobs creation;

• access to services and employment opportunities for the most vulnerable.

In all areas there will be an emphasis disaster risk reduction and resilience, governance, better access to and quality of public services, and employment.

The total indicative financial framework for the Country Programme Document amounts to USD 125 million, where contributions from governments at local, cantonal, entity and state levels amount to USD 10 million.
