    Project EXPLODE to Enhance Safety of BiH People by Decreasing Ammunition and Weapons Surpluses

    Explosive ordnance and remnants of war destruction (EXPLODE) project was officially launched today in Doboj. The 3,837,830 EUR project that will run until 2015 is financed by the European Union and implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the OSCE Mission to BiH.

    The Security Council today sent a strong signal to perpetrators of sexual violence in conflict that their crimes will not be tolerated, adopting a new resolution to strengthen efforts to end impunity for a scourge that affects not only large numbers of women and girls but also men and boys.

    Opening of the Šetnica Walk Trail in Mostar

    The official opening of Nikola Šubić Zrinjski street, also known as Šetnica, which spreads from Spanish Square to Square hrvatskih velikana, was held today in Mostar.     Biodiversity protection in Livanjsko polje

    The final conference of the project “Mainstreaming Karst Peatland Rehabilitation concerns into key economic sectors" – KARST project, at which the results and achievements of the project were presented, was held in UN House on Tuesday May 28 2013.     Better Planning Systems in BiH Entities

    Policy discussions related to harmonization of the development planning systems in both entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) that were launched in late 2012 with the support of the Integrated Local Development Project gained speed and came to concrete results. In the past months, representatives from more than 50 institutions engaged in consultative discussions and agreed on the vision, key elements, institutional responsibilities and coordination mechanisms in the future consolidated strategic planning frameworks in each BiH entity.
