ReLOaD Project: Results of public call for civil society organizations

Six partner municipalities and cities - Jablanica, Maglaj,Stari Grad Sarajevo, Travnik, Trebinje and Tuzla, out of 21 that participate in Regional Program on Local Democracy in the Western Balkans (ReLOaD) have published results of public calls for civil society organizations (CSO) which applied with project proposals.

Public calls were open to all CSO from Bosnia and Herzegovina and their project proposals written in accordance with defined priority and development goals of municipalities and cities. Funds for projects implementation will vary from 10,000 to 70,000 BAM. Projects duration is from 6 to 12 months and should be implemented in period between December 2017 and December 2018.

Results of public calls for four cities and municipalities, Banja Luka, Bijeljina, Teslić and Tešanj will be published by the end of November 2017.

ReLOaD is three-year regional project funded by European Union (EU) and implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in six countries and territories of Western Balkans: Albania, Former Yugoslav Republic Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo* (UNSCR 1244/1999) and Serbia. Total project budget is 10 million Euros. European Union funds 8.5 million Euros and the rest of 1.5 million Euros will fund UNDP and ReLOaD partner local self-government units.

ReLOaD project will enhance cooperation between local authorities and civil society organizations (CSO) focusing on transparent funding of CSOs across Western Balkans. 38,000 citizens will benefit of 200 projects in period between 2017 and 2020. Projects will be implemented in accordance with local priorities. Non-government organizations will implement projects in cooperation with local self-government units including 50 cities and municipalities in six countries and territories in Western Balkans. UNDP with EU support implements ReLOaD projects together with 21 municipalities and cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
