Selection of municipalities and cities completed: Eleven new municipalities for ReLOaD project

Board of partners of Regional Program on Local Democracy in the Western Balkans (ReLOaD) has selected eleven new municipalities to participate in the project, as a result of second public call for local self-governments in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Selected municipalities are:

Bratunac, Brod, Sarajevo Centar, Gradačac, Kakanj, Modriča, Pale, Rudo, Sokolac, Vitez i Vogošća.

ReLOaD project works with total 21 local self-governments in BiH, including eleven new selected municipalities.

Applications were evaluated in accordance with predefined criteria. One of the key criteria for selection was the level of achieved cooperation between local self-governments and civil society and accomplished results with distribution of funds for civil society organizations.

Municipalities and cities will work to ensure better civic participation in decision making processes and will implement activities aiming to improve work of civil society in order to provide better services to citizens in local communities.

The Regional Program on Local Democracy in the Western Balkans – ReLOaD is funded by the
European Union (EU) and implemented by United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
