Public call for local governments in BiH to participate in implementation of the Integrated Local Development Project (ILDP) III

The Integrated Local Development Project (ILDP) III, supported by the Government of Switzerland and the United Nations Development Programme in Bosnia and Herzegovina (UNDP BiH),  announces public call to local governments in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) for expression of interest to participate in its implementation.

The Integrated Local Development Project (ILDP), which 3rd phase will be implemented in the period from 2017 till mid-2021 is a joint initiative primarily funded by the Government of Switzerland and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme in BiH. The third phase of the Project is aimed at affirmation and consolidation of acquired knowledge and systems for development management, from the local, over cantonal and up to the entity level. In that sense, the Project intends to work with approximately 30 local governments, 10 cantons and relevant entity partners' institutions as well as with Brčko District in order to establish a sustainable and coherent system for local development management, by providing mechanisms for financing local and cantonal strategic priorities.
Through this Public call, ILDP will select 10 partner local governments in BiH, which will be provided with technical support in process of development of integrated local development strategies and introduction of systematic approach for local development management.


How to apply


All interested local governments in BiH that fulfill the preconditions of the Public call are invited to participate in an open and competitive process of selecting partner local governments for participation in ILDP III.

Local governments applying to the Public call, are obliged to submit all requested documents, as specified in the Guidelines for applicants.  All required documentation should be submitted in one hard copy and in one electronic version (on CD or USB) in a sealed envelope, via registered mail, private postal service or personally to the following address:

All applications, in accordance with this Public call and accompanying Guidelines, have to be submitted no later than May 22, 2017 (Monday) by 17:00 hours.  Applications submitted in other ways (e.g. fax or email) will not be taken into consideration.

“Open days”, where potential applicants will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the Public call, application procedure and selection criteria will be organized at three locations, as follows:
1.    Travnik, SBK Government Building (Stanična 43), 08 May 2017, from 12:00-14:00 hours
2.    Mostar, UNDP Regional Office ((Bulevar narodne revolucije 19), 10 May 2017, from 12:00-14:00 hours
3.    Istočna Ilidža, Municipality Building (Vojvode Rаdomirа Putnikа 2), 11.05.2017, from 12:00-14:00 hours
