Vrbas Project: Public call for selection of non-structural projects to reduce the risk of floods in 14 municipalities in the Vrbas river basinApr 13, 2017
United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), within the project “Technology transfer for climate resilient flood management in Vrbas River Basin”, funded by the Global Environmental Facility (GEF), published the Public Call to collect applications for non-structural projects for reducing/eliminating the risk of flooding in the municipalities within the Vrbas river basin in which there is an objective risk of flooding.
The eligible applicants that may participate with project proposals are as follows: the Sava River Watershed Agency, and Public Institution Vode Srpske, City of Banja Luka and the municipalities of Bugojno, Donji Vakuf, Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje, Jajce, Kotor Varos, Laktaši, Kneževo, Sipovo, Jezero, Čelinac, Mrkonjic Grad, Srbac and Gradiska.
Projects from the Public Invitation will be selected based on the application of non-structural projects and supporting documentation.
The results of the Public Call on the selection of projects will be published on the official website of the UNDP BiH, within 7 (seven) days from the date of the decision making. Prior to final decision on the selection, UNDP BiH reserves the right to request further clarifications about the project of the applicants, as well as the right to reject the submitted projects with no explanatory note. The cost sharing agreement will be made with the selected applicants for the project.

Deadline for submission of applications is 10th of May, 2017.

Any questions, queries and clarifications will be answered within 2 (two) working days. In order to ensure the transparency of the application process and to make clarifications available to all interested parties, all the responses to questions that are submitted no later than 28th April, 2017 will be published on the website of UNDP.
