Via Dinarica: Results of the Public call for improving tourism accommodation facilities, services and offer

Via Dinarica: A Platform for Sustainable Tourism Development and Local Economic Growth – is announcing results of the Public Call for Improving Tourism Accommodation Facilities, Services and Offer along the Via Dinarica Green and White Trails in Bosnia and Herzegovina, published on February 9, 2017.

In total, 61 project proposals have been received under the 3 priority themes of the Public Call. In accordance with the priorities of the Call, 36 best project proposals have been selected for financing for all the 3 priority themes: 1.  mountain huts/lodges/shelters 2. private accommodation facilities - bed-and-breakfast facilities, 3. tourism service providers.

The overall objective of the Via Dinarica: A Platform for Sustainable Tourism Development and Local Economic Growth Project, jointly funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is the development of potential and promotion of Dinaric corridor in order to contribute to reduction of economic, social and regional disparities in Bosnia and Herzegovina through affirmation of Via Dinarica as a regional tourism destination and increase of BiH’ competitiveness in nature-based tourism. The project aim is to further forge the process of establishing the Via Dinarica corridor as a community-owned and operated tourism product that provides sustainable livelihoods for a broad range of stakeholders.
