UN Resident Coordinator in Bosnia and Herzegovina and UNDP Resident Representative
Ms. Sezin Sinanoglu (Turkey) has been appointed as UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina in June 2015.
Prior to this appointment, Ms. Sinanoglu was UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative for Mongolia (2010-2015). From 2008-2010 she worked with the United Nations Volunteers in Bonn as Chief, Asia/Pacific/Europe/CIS Section and was responsible for the oversight of UNV programmes in over 55 countries. From 2002-2008 she undertook two separate assignments as UNDP Deputy Resident Representative in Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan. Ms. Sinanoglu worked in Northern Iraq from 2001-2002 as Assistant Programme Director, at the Electricity Network Rehabilitation Programme. She joined UNDP in 1995 as Programme Officer for Urbanization and Habitat in UNDP’s office in Turkey. Ms. Sinanoglu's experience prior to joining UNDP was as City Planner for the Prime Ministry Housing Development Administration in Ankara during the mid-90s and she was Staff Planner for Norman Day Associates in Philadelphia from 1989-1993.
Ms. Sinanoglu holds a Bachelor of City and Regional Planning and a Masters in City Planning from Middle East Technical University, Turkey.
UNDP BiH Deputy Resident Representative
Mr. Sukhrob Khoshmukhamedov assumed his duties as the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Deputy Resident Representative in BiH in November 2016.
Prior to his assignment in BiH, Sukhrob worked for three years as Deputy Resident Representative of UNDP in Papua New Guinea and served for eight years as Assistant Resident Representative/Programme of UNDP in Tajikistan, where he coordinated the development of strategic programme directions for the Country Office and represented UNDP in the country on many occasions.
Before joining UNDP in 2004, Sukhrob has worked as a Marketing Director of Indigo Tajikistan, the leading mobile operator in the country. Sukhrob also worked in the past for Aga Khan Foundation, Barents Group Ltd. (the subsidiary of KPMG) and the Government of Tajikistan.
Mr. Khoshmukhamedov was born and raised in Tajikistan and studied in the US. He graduated from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of International Studies and holds the degree of Master of Arts in Global Finance, Trade and Economic Integration.
